71. Guy of Warwick: A Knight of Britain who in his day did many deeds of prowess and conquest in Germany, Italy, and Denmark, And also against the Infidels, the enemies of Christianity. As may be seen more at large in this present book newly printed at Paris in the year 1525. Tr. Caroline Clive and ed. William B. Todd, Austin and London: University of Texas Press, 1968. [A manuscript translation of the French poem, prepared by Caroline and illuminated by her sisters Anna and Mary, was presented by the three sisters to their mother in 1821. It was eventually inherited by Anna’s daughter Eliza Severne, who married the nephew of Richard Payne Knight (1750-1824). The manuscript was bought with his library by the University of Texas at Austin, who took the surprising decision to publish it.]
